More fireworks

So this is video from a fireworks display in Yokyohama. It's taken from a cell phone, so don't expect too much from it. Still, I think it gives a general idea of how much better fireworks are here than in the US.

Been a while, hasn't it?

Yeah, so it's only been six months since my last post. That's not too bad. In my defense though, there hasn't been a lot of new content to post. I've been going to Japanese classes, coming home, going to aikido, ad nauseum. It's a comfortable routine, but it doesn't generate very interesting blog posts.

There has been one item of interest lately though, hence this post. Madoka and I had our wedding ceremony on the 9th and my family came up and stayed for a week afterwards. We hit Kyoto and Nara as well as spending some time in Tokyo and Yokohama. A full photo record can be found at this url. It should keep folks busy until I can post this video of fireworks over Yokohama. I really like these Japanese fireworks.
